• The Conference of the Birds

The Conference of the Birds is a classic Persian poem by Farid ud-Din Attar. This allegorical tale follows a flock of birds on a quest to find their king, the Simorgh. Led by the wise Hoopoe, the birds embark on a perilous journey through seven valleys, each representing a different spiritual challenge. Through trials of love, detachment, understanding, self-sufficiency, unity, astonishment, and annihilation, the birds are tested and purified. Ultimately, they discover that the Simorgh resides within themselves, highlighting the Sufi concept of divine unity and the arduous path to enlightenment.
